History & Location
The midcoast of Maine has a proud tradition of creatively combining natural resources, design, and craftsmanship. Boat builders, furniture makers, weavers, and artists all call this area home — and so does CedarWorks.
Back in 1981, CedarWorks revolutionized outdoor play with the first kid-friendly, parent-friendly, earth-friendly playsets. Our original line of swing sets featured oversized posts and beams, heavy duty hardware, nautical ropes and marine grade fabrics. Made exclusively using Northern White Cedar, the swingsets were naturally splinter-free and long lasting without using any chemicals, paints, or stains. And, because of the unique modular system, the swing sets could be custom configured for each customer to perfectly match their space and play needs.
Since that time, CedarWorks has expanded to serve customers in all 50 states and more than 20 countries abroad, and CedarWorks' outdoor products have expanded to include three lines of swing sets, furniture, and backyard toys, but we still rely exclusively on all-natural Northern White Cedar in all of our outdoor product lines.
CedarWorks has continued to revolutionize children's play with the introduction of CedarWorks indoor play, the only line of wooden indoor playsets and playhouses. Made from high quality furniture grade woods with earth-friendly finishes, CedarWorks indoor play line provides the only play products made from natural materials that safely encourage both physical and imaginative indoor play.
Products and markets may have changed over the past 35 years, but CedarWorks has remained a family-owned company deeply committed to its customers, employees, and community.
