CedarWorks is delighted to announce that it has been chosen as a proud recipient of the USDA REAP (Rural Energy for America Program) grant. This grant helped fund our new solar panel installation, marking a pivotal step forward in our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The grant was announced during a special event held at CedarWorks headquarters, where participants included US Representative Chellie Pingree, White House Senior Advisor for Rural Engagement Delivery and Prosperity Cindy Axne, and Maine USDA Rural Development State Director Rhiannon Hampson as well as other grant recipients, Brooklin Boat Yard, Solarlogix, and Morrit Hill Farm.

CedarWorks is honored to be among the 17 Maine farms and small businesses awarded this grant. The USDA REAP grant underscores our dedication to harnessing renewable energy sources and reducing our carbon footprint. Through the implementation of solar panels, CedarWorks will significantly decrease our reliance on traditional energy sources and contribute to a more sustainable future for our community and beyond.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support provided by the USDA REAP grant," said Barrett Brown, CEO of CedarWorks. "This investment will not only enable us to transition towards cleaner energy but also reinforces our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices."

The new solar panel installation is already reducing CedarWorks' operational costs and serves as a beacon of environmental consciousness within the local business community. As a company deeply rooted in Maine's rural landscape, CedarWorks is proud to lead by example in adopting renewable energy solutions that benefit both the environment and our bottom line.
