CedarWorks named one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in Maine
Statewide program includes CedarWorks in Small Employer category
September 9, 2016
CedarWorks has been named one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in Maine by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management. The statewide awards program recognizes companies that have established and fostered outstanding workplace environments. CedarWorks is being recognized in the Small Employer (15-49 U.S. employees) category.
Companies from across Maine enter the competition each year. The program collects information from each nominee on employee benefits, workplace policies, and employee responses to a comprehensive satisfaction survey. It is part of a long-term initiative to encourage growth and excellence throughout all Maine companies. As such, all participating companies receive an Employee Feedback Report to help them see what they do well as well as what they could change to improve their scores.
According to CedarWorks president Barrett Brown, the feedback report is the reason CedarWorks participates in the contest. "The information we get from the feedback report is more important to us than actually being named a finalist because it lets us know how we are doing. We strive for excellence in everything we do as a company, and our employees and workplace are integral to that."
CedarWorks will be recognized at the Best Places to Work in Maine awards ceremony on October 4 at which time the final rankings will be announced.
