Additional Foster Families Benefit from CedarWorks Play It Forward Program
January 16, 2015
Rockport, Maine – CedarWorks is pleased to announce the second round of Play It Forward recipients. Play It Forward was developed as part of the CedarWorks giving back program to provide playsets to organizations who benefit children. CedarWorks selected The National Foster Parent Association as its organization partner for 2014.
"We are excited to release the names of two additional Play It Forward recipients," stated Barrett Brown, CedarWorks company president. "The Benoit and Traudt families are a wonderful example of the many foster families across this country that create hope in the hearts of children whose lives have been torn apart," Brown added.
After careful review of numerous applications, CedarWorks selected a total of five lucky families to receive playsets through the Play It Forward program. "My boys are so excited . We have recently found that swinging relaxes my youngest son and will greatly help with calming and refocusing him . Just having the opportunity to release energy is going to benefit my children as well as other foster children who spend time at our home," stated Teri Traudt, a recent Play It Forward recipient .
Funding for CedarWorks Play It Forward program comes in part from current CedarWorks playset owners . Each time an owner refers a new family to CedarWorks, a portion of the sale is donated to the Play It Forward fund .
As part of their 2015 Giving Back program, CedarWorks has renewed their commitment to partner with the National Foster Parent Association and is looking forward to bringing beautiful play options to additional Foster Families in 2015.
